This project explores how accessible healthcare facilities are for individuals who rely on public
transportation within the urban Tucson area. According to an article published by the National
Library of Medicine, approximately 5.8 million people in the U.S delay medical care because
they do not have access to transportation. Additionally, data from Data USA, shows that an estimated
1,580 people in Tucson do not own a vehicle. The goal of this research is to assess whether public transit-
specifically the bus system- effectively connects citizens to healthcare services. Our methodology
incorporates visualizations and summary statistics to help answer this question.
